MISSION OVERVIEW

The greatest challenge facing human spaceflight is not reaching orbit. It is remaining there. HAVEN ONE (USS SX1) is a phased orbital infrastructure concept built around a simple principle: do not build the final destination first. Build the foundation that allows it to grow.

PHASED DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP

Phase 1 establishes a permanent operational foothold in orbit through a scalable Seed Core architecture. Phase 2 expands habitation capacity, introduces artificial gravity systems, and supports long-duration occupancy.

Phase 3 transforms the platform into a fully operational orbital infrastructure hub supporting research, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and sustained human presence.

LONG-TERM EVOLUTION STRATEGY

HAVEN ONE is intentionally designed for expansion. Additional habitation rings, power systems, industrial modules, transportation infrastructure, and support facilities can be added over time as operational demand increases. Rather than remaining a fixed station, the platform is envisioned as an evolving orbital settlement capable of growing alongside human space activity.

FUTURE PROPULSION ADAPTATION

As advanced propulsion technologies mature, including nuclear propulsion, fusion-based systems, advanced electric propulsion, and other future energy architectures, HAVEN ONE can serve as a tested and integration platform.

The objective is not to predict which technology will ultimately enable deep-space or interstellar travel, but to ensure humanity possesses a permanent, expandable platform ready when those capabilities arrive.
